Cedar Waxwing

These beautiful birds come every spring to chow down on the serviceberry trees in front of our house.
They are attracted to fleshy fruits that are high in sugar content. This and the photographs
in this gallery from an earlier year were taken on the landing inside our house looking
out on to the serviceberry trees just a few feet away.

Beautiful Jay. I have seen some around here lately too, but they fly away when I think about getting the camera out! I have never seen the beautiful tips on their wings and tail. You captured them well.

I see them about 2 weeks in March here. They are beautiful Never realized they had yellow tips on their tails and red tips on their wings! Perfect capture! V
