This is a beautifully textured landscape, Philippe. It is the nature of light, and the simplicity of your concept that makes the picture work so well. An excellent job of layering carries the eye not only across the frame but well back into it. And when we get to the back, you re-state the strong horizontals of the foreground with that slash of light that moves almost diagonally through the background. Brilliant, indeed.
