Dad didn't go off to work this morning and neither did Mum. Instead, we all drove to the Yorkshire Dales and had a nice walky along a very long, straight track across the hills. Dad says the track was constructed nearly two thousand years ago to enable ancient Roman soldiers to travel across Wensleydale to their fort at Bainbridge. All I can say is, I hope the weather was not as windswept and rainy two thousand years ago when they were crossing the Dale as it was today! We were all very glad to get home and dry off! Brrr!
(dad: I'm behind with commenting again, sorry. Will try to catch up tomorrow.)
