12022007 why are there no muddy cats?

Today's PESO is another shot from yesterday. Here you see me testing my theory that my green coat + mud would make a good disguise to hide my true identity when spying on cats. The reason I want to spy on cats is that if I know more about cats, I will find out how they tick - at the moment cats are a complete enigma to me (and not RESPECTful enough).
Dad was very annoyed when he caught me trying to put the finishing touches to this disguise. He said "Pooch, how can mud be a disguise when dealing with cats? Have you ever seen a muddy cat? They'll spot you a mile off!"
I think Dad may have a point. He's not stupid. I'll have to think of another disguise.
I wonder why there are no muddy cats? Don't cats enjoy a roll in the mud?

You must have to have more baths than any other dog Pooch!
That is a good question about the cats too.

Pooch, I think the lack of mud-loving cats is a direct result of the fact that they're self-cleaning animals. Perhaps taking the direct approach with cats would work a bit better. How about the next time you meet one just outright ask it, "So, what's your deal? What makes you tick?" It couldn't hurt. :-)

Perhaps you should borrow a large pair of glasses then the cats might mistake you
for an owl & come close enough for you to chase & pounce! That soft green grass is
a great place for a roll :)

Delightful shot. Good questions being voiced here. Come to think of it, I've never seen a muddy cat. :-)

Pooch, cats love to roll around in dry sand, especially if it is in the sun. You can't figure cats out, so just keep stalking and chasing them.

Our cats Maddy and Willow roll in the dirt and gravel and could care less about how mucky they are(has to be dry tho). Stick with the dry stuff Pooch!

Fun shot. Nicely done. Pepper enjoys rolling around in the mud as well though she doesn't enjoy the bath that she has to take after the rolling in the mud.
