Humans are very strange. It has been quite chilly and rainy all day today, a perfect day for a peaceful snooze indoors you would think.
But no - Dad insisted on an hour long car drive to visit some old stones sticking out of a cold, wet and rainy field.
Now I like rabbit hunts as much as the next pooch - as you can see from this sniffing expedition around the ruins of the Abbot's house.
But I'm less keen on walkies in the pouring rain... and I still think Dad is crazy!
Dad: we decided that despite the weather, we were going to do one of our planned Bank Holiday 'expeditions', and
paid a visit for the first time to Byland Abbey ruins. The Abbot's house was once a luxurious private residence next to the Abbey
where the abbot would entertain important guests. Not much of it left now is there - but a perfect playground for rabbits according
to the volunteer manning the entrance turnstile!
This gave us a chuckle: another pooch not enjoying the rain! http://www.pbase.com/northstar37/image/137566393 ;-)
