Farmer’s Market, Petaluma, California, 2007

Locals come to Petaluma’s Farmer’s Market to buy food, crafts and enjoy refreshment. The day has probably not been much fun for this dad -- he has probably just refreshed his insatiable young daughter for the fifth time in the last hour. The human values that come through here are irritation and stoicism, mixed with a bit of endurance.

I wanted this image to stimulate just such thoughts, Tricia. And and as a parent of three, I agree -- whatever you must do for your kids is more than worth the time and sacrifice.

I can feel for him having kids myself! :D It's a chore sometimes but honestly when you think about it, it's worth it. Tiresome as it can be, but this is what we call unconditional love and sacrifice that cannot be measured.
