The play of light intensifies the richness of this vivid color. I’ve layered the image in quarters – using the rocky foreground to anchor the image, cathedral-like middle ground of glowing yellow trees, and a two stage backdrop featuring both a shadowy and illuminated hillside. Its towering neighbors dwarf the tiny red tree.

The trees as a musical fountain -- what a beautiful interpretation, Ai Li. I did not think of dancing tres as I made this image, but now that you mention it, yes -- I can see the rhythmic movement you sense here.

Beautiful color contrast. Felt as if the trees formed a layer of nature's musical fountain, dancing freely under the light.
