Green Shield Bug (Palomena prasina) hatchlings

These are tiny (eggs are a little over 1mm in diameter). Notice the curious (black-framed) "visors" protruding from the eggshell
openings - presumably these are used to slice open the eggs? As can be seen, two of these guys have yet to emerge.
