Another try at the moon, using a higher ISO.
The moon is also brighter than last night.
I think it worked better than yesterday's.

The detail is amazing considering you are using a camera and lens rather than a camera mounted on a telescope.

Thanks, guys! Cindy, it sounds like you got a good photo of "Earthshine". It would be fun to try combining two exposures, one for the crescent and a brighter one for the Earthshine. Maybe next month!

Wow, nice Peter! This is really pretty. I took one 2 nights ago . . . not nearly so nice, but the funny thing is the whole moon showed up - the crescent was blown out and the rest of the moon looked pretty good. I guess i just let it burn too long but it was kind of a surprise to take a pic of a crescent moon and end up with a full moon! Cindy
