Everything In Place But...

...the weather would not cooperate again. Earlier today (2:20 AM EST to be exact) was the new Moon and it was a chance to see it while it was only 15 or 16 hours old. It all depended on the skies and unfortunately they did not cooperate. I found a great spot which had an unobstructed horizon to the WSW (not easy when one lives near the southern shore of a Great Lake in a town of over 100,000). I was there an hour before the sunset to make sure I could catch a glimpse of the New Moon as it followed the path of the Sun. Then a half hour before sunset the clouds rolled in.

Good try, Patti!
I understand your frustration!
Next time perhaps.

Nice touch of warmth in this chilly scene. There's always next month. V

I still like this shot though. A great sense of emptiness.

For every ten of these attempts though you hit pay dirt. Its what makes it worth it.
