A Familiar Scene

Unfortunately I now know "kind of" what folks from the gulf feel like. There was a theft of copper from this no longer used power station over the weekend and as a result of the theft, transformer oil was released into this creek which runs into Lake Ontario. Only about 4,800 gallons were leaked but that's just so wrong on so many counts!

Sad to see. A commentary on modern times.

Hard times often lead to desperate measures. Just wrong no matter how desperate you are.

Nice shot of a terrible situation. The copper theft is one thing; another though is: when the plant was decommissioned why was the oil left behind. As a species we really need to start paying more attention.
