While out walking the pier I noticed these leaves floating in the river. Yes that is pretty much the color of the river by the time it gets to the lake. It takes on quite a bit of silt along the way north and is always very murky.

I did a lot more processing on this image than I usually do: curves, touch up to remove lots of "small debris" that floats in the river and unsharp mask.
