Book

I had been trying for about 2 months to get this book from the library (because I didn't want to pay $55 for it). Last night when I checked the on line catalog I couldn't believe it was available and today just happens to be the day that book is one of the challenge choices. I haven't started it yet as the day was full.

I want to learn more about using a strobe and other lighting techniques and I enjoy Joe McNally's blog http://www.joemcnally.com/blog/2008/ as well as Strobist http://strobist.blogspot.com/ and the advice I get from my PBase friends.

I like Joe's blog and the images he produces. I've been thinking about the book too, but my library card is LONG expired. ;)

Zack Arias runs a blog and workshop called One Light and has a dvd set out now that I would love to get. Very similar to the Strobist shooting style.

David Tejada also has a blog and workshop series. All of these guys do great work with shoe mount strobes.

Let me know how you like the book. It's still on my short list, even at $55.

I have this highly touted book and enjoyed going through it, but doubt I will get involved with all the lighting equipment he uses!
