Fill the Frame

MONTHLY CHALLENGE ~ MARCH MIX

Today: Fill the Frame

When I read, "Fill the Frame" I thought of 1:1 Macro Photography, such as having a subject
the size of the frame fill the frame. Since I have a 24mm Sensor I searched the house for a
24 * 18 mm subject. That was too challenging so I settled for this Commemorative Quarter that
is 24 mm in diameter. When you get a macro lens this close the depth of field is so thin the
engraving affects the focus. If it wasn't dark and wintry outside I could have looked for a
bug or beetle 24 mm long!

Very well done, looks great in Original size. I like the tiny scratches from wear and tear.

interesting shot! well done!
My understanding of fill the frame is that you take picture without showing any background: this could be a macro or a picture of a field, which doesn't show any sky... or just something which makes a pattern... on a portrait it would be a tight crop of a part of the face...
