This guy surprised me as I entered the road from a field. He spotted me and stopped to check me out. I must have appeared harmless so he just came on down the road. I finally had to back up to let him pass and talked to him...letting him know I wouldn't hurt him. First time I ever talked to a deer. I thought he was going to walk right up to me! He got so close that he was within the minimum focusing range of the lens. A few minutes later some joggers came down the lane and he bounded off into a field.
