20120116 - Black 'n' Blue

Found some 'Charcoal' crackers that are supposed to be a "stylish black colour". I thought it was just some sort of food colouring until I looked at the ingredients - 0.8% charcoal powder! Yikes!

Why do they call blue cheese 'blue' when the 'blue' bits are so obviously green? Ponder ponder ponder....

Green cheese sounds a bit off :-) Don't you give dogs charcoal if they are a bit um, whiffy.
Superb light here. Wonderful shot, Phillip.

Great shot of your dog biscuits

Nothing like a bit of green mold flowing through the cheese, excellent shot and very sharp ...v

Charcoal is good for cleaning your teeth apparently, but I'll stick to Colgates thanks. Have to agree with Lou, the marketing madness is out of control!!

Bits in NZ Blue, (which we eat) are definitely blue! Don't they use charcoal to make people sick if they have overdosed on something ..... anyway, whatever, the food world has gone made imo!! What's wrong with normal things. Great shot to illustrate this.

striking comp and colour balance...the charcoal is good against nausea, a fine thing too with the pungent cheese...still a sharp nip is as good as a wink to a blind horse...no wait a minute..a chomp is as good as a crac...no wait a minute...

Hopefully no one will light a match near you. Life's questions. V

Have never come across black crackers before and thanks to your info, I don't want to.
A cracking image BTW.

Now I like that sort of enquiring mind. These are the sort of questions that everyone should ask. I have never seen this kind of black biscuit before, at least the carbon should not hurt. Oh and I think the image is fabo, well done. V

I thought you had bitten the top off an Oreo cookie, the reality is much better.
I hear that peppermint tea is good for the old breezy belly. :0)

You get charcoal biscuits for dogs, it helps prevent flatulence!
Has it been windy down your way?
