20120106 - Fettled Piles

I like it after a bit of fettling better.

This was the original...

Update: Re-fettled and re-uploaded - to bring back some of the blue that I lost. After all, it was blue+gold that I was looking for in the first place :o)

Canon EOS 5D ,Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM

Blimey, you're rich!! Love the contrast here, nicely done sir!

New version better , more goldy .... (is that a word ? )

The contrast pops a lot more on this version too, but I think I preferred the more subtle blues

That's a small fortune, maybe that's why it looks so good.

Mmmmm...shiny gold. Plenty for the leccy.
Superb bit of fettling, Phil, and amazing lighting.
:-)

I'll take the gold from both ;-) I like this version best.
Walter Otto Koenig07-Jan-2012 17:19
I like this version better as well. The gold looks more gold.

Excellent lighting.

fab contrast here...stacks of real money to be carefully distributed...more a banker's view, or a realist's...V

excellent processing!, Mr Goldfinger... V

I like them both too. Just slide those over to my side of the table. :) V

Oh I like this one the most!
It looks more natural, LOL the other one looks too photoshopped Just shows how I can get it wrong :-)

I actually like the darker one best! Enough blue in it for the blue/gold complementary colour, and it find it more dramatic!
Guest 06-Jan-2012 23:32
I agree with David. This is a great shot too and the gold is especially goldish, but I prefer the other shot as well because of the blue and gold combination of colors.:)

I think both pictures are pretty good. The tones and colours of the revised version DO appeal but overall mmmmmm I think I'd prefer the original. :o)
