Decided to go for a wander this afternoon - it's very noisy out there! Bleat bleat bleat :o)
Decided to have a go at the 'shoot-to-the-right' technique today. The idea is to set the camera to neutral picture style and minus-4 contrast - then the in-camera jpeg gets rendered much flatter than normal so you know that if the blinky bits start blinking, you really have hit the top end rather than the usual where you're actually nowhere near. You then up the contrast and drop the exposure in processing later on.
