If you need to clean the element surfaces on either side of the iris,
The rear group cell can be removed as an assembly at this time.
It is not necessary to remove for further disassembly, ie, work on the zoom mechanism.
The cell unscrews counter clockwise (right hand thread), usually hand tight. If it is too tight
to remove by hand, wrap tape around the outer edge for a better grip.
