Later Maxxum normal lenses have much more plastic. Both parts of the helicoid are
plastic with a metal drive ring and guides.
Lubricant is also used on the helicoid with the plastic lenses.
This one has too much that could eventually contaminate the iris.
Wipe off excess that is accessable.
