The first floating element barrel is made of metal. If you need to get inside this assembly to clean, etc; It has a thread on retaining ring that is sealed with lacquer.
Apply lacquer thinner or acetone to the edge of the retainer and allow to set about 10 minutes to soften. The ring can then be removed with a friction tool.
Mark elements as to direction and rotation so they can be put back exactly as they were.
