As I said the other day I hope things will be quieter next week. This is what I have going on, among other activities:
I have been taking a singing class to get over my fear of singing in public. I sing in the church choir and in the Community Chorus. I could sing solos at practice, but when it came time for performance I’d freeze. So I got my courage up and took a class. Tomorrow I will sing two country western songs with a live band at a recital. My teacher wants me to be the “grande dame” of country. I’ll be singing Patsy Cline’s “Sweet Dreams” and Eddy Arnold’s “You Don’t Know Me” wearing a formal gown. The article in the local paper telling about the recital said “students from six to sixty-five plus”. Hmmm, I think she means me!
I’ve had a ball, but could use prayers.
One of my friends in the class took this photo at rehearsal last night.
Terrible lighting conditions and I couldn't find a way to make it look good,
but thought I'd post it anyway to say hi.
Tomorrow is also an art sale and I’m getting cards and photos ready for that.
The Austin-Bergstrom Airport purchased two more of my prints and that has been stressful. Trying to get a four megapixel print enlarged to 18 x 27 when much of it is a very white white has been a challenge.
So that’s my crazy life and I hope to be back soon….maybe with a photo in my gown! It cost $15 at a thrift store, but I hope to look like a million in it. LOL I will have fun, that is for sure.
