What a wonderful morning I had today. Gayle was working in San Antonio and we had
planned a day together. Unfortunately, hurricane Rita changed our plans
and Gayle had to head home early. We had a short time together, but it
was so special to spend time with her. I got us lost, and she was so very gracious.
Actually, we weren’t lost, I just didn’t know where we were.
Gayle saw parts of San Antonio she never knew she wanted to see,
and I saw parts I had never seen! We ended up at the Botanical Center in record (100+) heat.
A joyful, fun day.

My guess is that Gayle got some wonderful photos. I had fun watching her and we discussed my need for a D70!

I think she has been taking lessons from Pepe.
Or maybe Pepe took lessons from Gayle!

Beautiful shot. Gayle has a pretty smile. I like how the tree limb is around her head.

Looks like you two had a great time together. Getting "lost" sometimes provides the best photo opps!!

Very nice portrait, Petesie. You framed it well with the oak branch. That ray of sun on her right really caps off a very fine photo.

I was hoping for some pics from the visit. Sounds fun although this is quite a guy statement (sounds like something I would say): " Actually, we weren’t lost, I just didn’t know where we were. " :) :o ;)

Amid all the goings on something good happened. So pleased you had a lovely meet up, despite it being cut short. This is a lovely smiling Gayle...is there any other ?? Lovely setting too.....I can see a new camera coming on :>)

What a beautiful shot of Gayle, and that light shining through the tree
casting shadows on the grass & furniture is so picturesque!

Beautiful portrait Petesie! Stunning light, and love how that branch frames two sides of the photo! Sounds like such a fun time, you and Gayle meeting and photographing together!

Great portrait Petesie. Of course you had a beautiful subject. Glad ya'll had a good time and that she is home safe now. I truly hope that Rita blows it's self out some kind of way before it reaches land.
