Life Jackets as Art

The installation by Chinese artist Ai Weiwei (艾未未) is named after Monet’s Soleil Levant. Ai blocked the windows of the Kunsthal Charlottenborg with over 3500 life jackets salvaged from the Greek Islands where Syrian refugees landed in 2015-16.
