Located on the tympanum above the door reserved exclusive for Byzantine emperors leading from the narthex into the nave of Hagia Sophia, this 9th or 10th century mosaic depicts Emperor Leo VI worshiping Christ on a throne. On the sides are Virgin Mary and the archangel Gabriel.
