When completed in 1930, it was the largest arch bridge in Japan. The similar looking new bridge behind it is a 2006 addition to double the traffic capacity. They are part of the historical Japan National Route 1.
On the far side of the bridges are the OAP and the Imperial Hotel Osaka, where we stayed.
