Built in 1618, this eastern side gate of the Senso-ji is the oldest structure on the temple ground.
It is located near the Shinto Asakusa Shrine.
Due to U.S. bombing during WW2, most structures here are post war concrete & steel reconstructions. This gate survived earthquakes, fires, and war.
