We got a reprieve from the heat and blazing Sun when some afternoon thunderstorms popped
up in the area. Yes, we got rained on a bit but nothing that was too problematic. We were fortunate
that the rain shafts passed quickly, leaving some dramatic sky to compliment the dramatic geology.
The winds died down to allow for some nice reflections on a pre-existing shallow pond of water.
