While waiting for the Honey Moon to rise, a small grouping of clouds
made a brief appearance over Thimble Peak and Bear Canyon. The pink glow
is from the Belt of Venus. What is that? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belt_of_Venus
This is a stitch of three vertical shots (best I could do with the 300 mm which was on for the moonrise).
Below, a shot of the Honey Moon rising behind the Rincon Mountains east of Tucson
and, below that, an animation of most of that moonrise over the mountain ridges:
