Baboquivari Peak is the most sacred place to the Tohono O’odham people. Fifty miles southwest
of Tucson, in the Baboquivari Peak wilderness, the peak itself is 7,730 feet high. It is the
very center of the Tohono O’odham cosmology and the home of the creator, I’itoli.
This shot was taken from my house, looking past a neighbor's Christmas decorations.
