Toadlet and Pebbles

Sabino Canyon

A juvenile Red-spotted Toad (Bufo punctatus). These toadlets were all over the creek crossings in Lower Sabino Canyon. This one was somewhat unique in that it had a distinct blue-green sheen. See image below for how small these guys really were:
