2006.07.02 Shade, a wall, and a line of sight

Hennessey Rd, Wan Chai

20060701 104.jpg

The hard part about watching the parade was to find a spot out of the sun, and not too crowded. For anyone without a hat or umbrella, the sun was just too hot. This spot would have been great if not for the dust blowing occasionally from the building site behind.

And it's always good for people to have a wall to lean on. :-)

I probably shouldn't have taken time out to process this; it's 1 a.m. and I still have at least an hour of work tonight ... and I always underestimate the time needed ...

Wot Al said. And also, the subtle contrast of having three old codgers in the foreground and mostly young women outside.

Great framing using the metal pillars, as if they're looking out of a huge window, in a different direction from the rest of passerbys. Great eye.
