Once again we arrived back at Tomakamai rather too late for most eating establishments. But we found this place, which appears to be part of a chain. We were the only customers there. There was a guy (rather cute, according to Lilac) behind the counter, and a girl (rather sweet, we both thought) serving. They were very keen to help us order something we'd like. The girl managed to get a translation into English of the concept "choose" (Lilac had to choose which kind of soup or sauce with her meal), as text on her telephone screen. I don't know how she managed that. Anyway it was a very good-natured meal.
And after we left they waved us goodbye through the window of the restaurant...

The thing I found technically interesting about this picture was the multiple image of the strainer. The exposure time was 1/25s; the lights probably strobe 100 times pre second (2 peaks per mains voltage cycle; 50 cycles per second). Count the images of the strainer ... yep.
