I have been told that the fish windsocks indicate that there are boys in the household.

This is a combination of 3 conversions of the same raw file. Maybe
I should give up trying to get shots including the sun - there's
usually a lot of hard work needed in pp to get a reasonable result.

Interesting - thanks for the comments. I had no idea that the windsocks are seasonal. (Must be migration or ssome such ...)

I think the post-processing was worth the trouble - it is a subdued but very good picture. The carp windsocks are only raised in May, and there is quite a bit of 'keeping up with the joneses' involved. I am going back to Japan shortly on holiday (I lived there from 97-99) and will be very happy if I get a few shots as good as the ones here.

Yes that sun is obviously giving a bit of processing grief, but the composition is excellent anyway.
