I lived at 1215 Grand Concourse and my best friend lived across the street at 1188 Grand Concourse, practically your neighbors. I also went to P.S.90 and then on to Taft H.S. and Hunter college uptown, Bronx campus. Did you ever go to The Kent, the movie theater around the corner, and of course ride the D train? I am presently reading "The Bronx, Lost, Found, and Remembered" and it is triggering wonderful memories. I have been told that the Bronx is "coming back" and I certainly hope so.

My name is Bob Greenberg. I was born in the Royal Hospital on the Grand Concourse. I went to P.S. 90 and Jordan L. Mott J.H.S. 22. I first lived at 111 Tudor Place and then 1185 Grand Concourse. I am so relieved to see that the Lowe's Paradise theater, has been revived & restored in 2005?

As a kid, back in the mid 60's, the Lowes Paradise was very beautiful and unique. I remember inside near the candy stand on opposite sides a beautiful fish/fountain aquarium. Inside was beautiful large goldfish of different colors!!!!!. Inside the theatre as the lights were diming for the movie to start, one can notice the gorgeous ceiling of very dark blue sky with beautiful stars canvasing the entire ceiling. I am orginally from the West Bronx.
