Poutine 05131 copy.jpg

Kingston, Ontario, Canada, a UNESCO World Heritage Destination

Kingston is a military town with personel arriving from all over Canada. Soldiers from Quebec introduced "Poutine" to Bubba's Restaurant on King 25 years ago or more and the town has not been the same since. French fries, cheese curd, gravy, more french fries, more cheese curd and more gravy. Not my cup of tea but the fans can't get enough.

This looks like a heart attack waiting to happen. It's as bad as the "Bleenies" that they eat in this area.

Occasionally if the gravy is right then I can take fries swimming...but the curd...hmmmm, not sure about that !!

Ooo I LOVE poutine!! Been to Canada many times, and always have to have a goodly dose of poutine when I arrive! Best ever was from a little roadside cafe place near Plaisance in Quebec on the Ottawa River...heaven!
