I built this with left over rocks from our patio project. Many cultures practice the art of rock stacking to ward off evil spirits or other reasons.

Interesting how superstitions work their way into so many things. Here, on the Willamette River where it goes along University of Oregon property, students pile the rocks up out in the river. It all gets washed away in the winter.
