New camera bracket

Austin, Tx

New bracket is made from about $10 worth of materials. I bought a 3 foot piece of 3/4 inch wide by 1/8 inch thick aluminum from Home Depot and a couple of hose clamps. I cut 3 different pieces so the camera is well protected from all angles. The camera is held on by a 1/4 X 20 camera screw bought from a local camera store, but any 1/4 X 20 screw will work. The camera is a Canon SD1100IS point and shoot. It takes excellent videos as well as pictures. Since the power and shoot buttons are on top of the camera, it is very easy to turn it on and start and stop the video. The camera is cheap enough so that if It gets banged up and a rock finds it's way around my wrap around bracket, I am only out about $130.
