I pass here several times in this small street of old Madurai city reading all sayings from wise
Tamil writers like Swami Sivananda ... this one I found pleasant to combine in a sober setting with
a young man following his friends.

Swami Sivananda was born Kuppuswamy in Pattamadai near Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu on 8 September 1887.
He studied medicines at Tanjore. It was Swami Vishwananda Saraswati who initiated him at Rishikesh
in 1924 into the Sannyas order and gave him his monastic name.
