Varanasi - life on the ghats
The last day of the Saraswati Festival,
the Goddess of Knowledge & Arts was brought to the Holy Ganga to immerse Her.
Saraswati was dressed in yellow garments, sign of auspiciousness and spirituality.
The whole town went crazy by a never ending procession of Saraswati statues
carried around on enlightened cars with big loudspeakers,
students dancing wild on deafening music till late in the night.
