c19 - 1st - fighting words by adrianox

speakers corner

Ismail has been a speaker at the corner [by his own account] for 20 years, is there pretty much every weekend when he's in London, and only engages in political/social debate.

I have had the devils own time getting a decent pic of him as he stands 99% of the time with his back to the light. ironically, this treatment captures more of his essence [my experience of him ;-)] than i've been able to do with a regular pic.

Thanx for taking the time to comment Gerard, Flick, Mark & Brent. 'tis a pretty electric action heh, and i would have given a months pocket money for this in my younger days ;-), that and the mushies.

I was pleased with this capture, but sharp it aint - this guy rarely stops - so i was looking for something with colour - hmmmm... wonder how it would go back into b&w? Cheers guys, adrian

It could have been called Electric Ladyland! A real imaginitive use of color that holds together in spite of its energy. Seems like it should be flying apart. very creative! Brent

So there really is a good use for this effect! An vibrant image.

Now that's what I call a bad hair day. Seriously, though, this conveys dynamism and passion, plus eccentricity. Very effective use of filters based on a darned good photo.
Flick.

Adrian,
a great interpretation of Ismail. What is really good about this, having seen him, is the obvious energy that the picture shows because of the manicness of the lines and also the colourful nature of it and him.
