The Wood Pigeon L 38-43cm (15-17"), WS 68-77cm (27-30")( breeds in woodland, parks and gardens. Foraging at lawns and fields. The nest is made of twigs in dense trees. It is the largest dove, best recognised at the white patch at the side of the neck, and at the white marks at the bend of the wings which show up in flight as diagnostic white lines down the middle of the wing. |
