This bird was photographed on the 2004 Reelfoot Christmas Bird Count and seen by 3 different parties at three different locations over the day. These birds can cover a lot of territory.The white base of the upper tail was a stunning field mark on a overcast day. Remember the small white patch on the upper surface of the right wing.
