Two years after finding the first nest, I discovered this nest 60' up on a transmission tower at the Steam Plant in Ensley Bottoms. In this photo you can see two heads above the edge of the nest. There were 4 young at one time but we also had a bumper crop of Loggerhead Shrikes, with 4 nests within view of the Western's nest. I watched the fledged young dwindle in numbers over a period of time BUT see the next photo.
