Early one morning at Ensley Bottoms, this super bird was a real surprise. It was prancing its way through a large number of Pectoral Sandpipers but its walk gave it away. Fortunately it stayed for just over a week to be enjoyed by hundreds of happy birders from around the US. While birding on Island 13 years before I had a brief encounter with another but the bird flew off down the river before it could be confirmed.
