Note the size, shape and color as compared to the surrounding EUCD. The long pointed tail is held at a lower angle than most ECDO, more like the angle seen on MODO. Of the hundreds of ECDO present at this location any differences in their coloration has always been to the lighter side of the normal color for this species, usually only a very subtle difference but with occasional very pale individuals. The ECDO in this photo look extremly pale because of the noon day sun. I lightened the exposer of the camera so some details and color of the dark bird could be seen as otherwise the bird would have been a black blob.
