Coopers Hawk - 8-20-2011 - imm. female

When she saw me she sprinted for the thickest Lamb's Quarter and Pig Weed she could find. At my age I can no longer sprint, so I stumbled into the brush. She did not take kindly to being caught and was taken kicking and grabbing to REHAB for a wash and rest. Two days later she was free and I'm tending Pigweed scratches and talon marks AND still creaking in the joints........I'll always keep at least gloves and a towel in the truck from now on. PS Black Sludge stains will not wash out. Not as bad as having to wade out for a Peregrine years ago. I thought this was just supposed to be BIRD WATCHING??
