"The TR7 of 1975 was a radical departure for Triumph. The two-seat coupe featured monocoque construction, a live rear axle and four-cylinder power. In 1979, an attractive convertible was offered, by which time many of the car's early teething troubles had been addressed. Production of all Triumph cars ceased in 1981 after approximately 112,368 TR7s had been built." -- Simeone Automotive Museum
