Bayou Tortue Road is not a major highway, in fact it is a shell/gravel road which during heavy rains does tend to flood.

But, in the dense woods there are numerous live oak trees with their Spanish moss waving gently in whatever breeae blows. It is a very peaceful setting just minutes away from US 90 and the hustle of the growing town of Broussard.
