This memorial is located on the grounds of the Hendersonville, North Carolina fire station and was dedicated yesterday (11 September 2007). The 5-ton block of granite contains the names of 187 local firefighters and other emergency workers who gave a lifetime of service to their departments before their deaths or died in the line of duty since 1892.
